Ortlieb waterproof motorcycle tank bag

  
This is a very weather and water proof bag. With very bad weather for 21 out of 22 days. Rain, sleet, hail, snow, road splash and melting frost in the morning, never a drop of water inside the tank. Map case on top of bag suffered from. Needing to be opened at bad times so I let a little moisture in there.

Both parts of bag are rolled. Seals so very water tight but probably not submersible for long times. But that's not how these are used, not on a kayak. It is possible to stack other elements on top besides the map case with the quick connect.

Mounting is by straps with a garter like assembly. Four quick connect snaps allow removal and easy reattachment. I was able to use the straps directly to.

Frame members on my F800 and did not use that part. Which also allowed quick on/off transfer. The tank on my R1200 seems higher and I no longer use a tank bag. A carrying strap is included for carry into motel. Never used it as we parked close to tents or doors.
